Get NZ Writing

I have been exploring metaphors and descriptive writing through the ‘Get NZ writing’. Here is some metaphors that I have created:

 Raigan is a speedy camo fighter jet gliding in the wind.

Raigan would be a glimmery black leather vest worn by motorbike riders. 

Koru art

For the last couple of weeks I have been creating my own koru art based on the work of Raewyn Harris. She is a New Zealand artist and you can look at her work on this link. 

I have enjoyed creating this masterpiece, and I hope you enjoy it too! 

Poetry

In writing I have used a poem by James K. Baxter as a starting point to write my own holiday poem. I hope you like it.

Courts, equipment, and even a field.

My teacher, friends, and I did what other kids  do

Sport , games, climbing, drawing, and talking.

Doing nothing important.

Welcome to my 2018 Blog.  

This year I am in Cooper’s Whare - Room 16 and my teacher’s name is Mrs Holt. 

I am very excited to share my learning journey with you this year.

Raigan
